On the quay at Hayle, you can find the most unique ice cream stand. At ICED, everything is made fresh to order whether you want something warming on a chilly evening or cooling in the midday summer sun.
Our weekends wouldn’t be the same without a trip to ICED on the Quay. We particularly love the locally made Moomaid of Zennor ice cream. ICED serves a wide range of flavours from classic favourites to limited editions.
If you don’t feel like an ice cream, there’s plenty of other sweet treats on offer including waffles, pancakes, shakes, desserts and hot drinks. There is an excellent variety of vegan and gluten free options available. Often the menu changes with the season and you will find that there’s always something new to try.
Their desserts are unique in flavour and looks, making for a beautiful picture on the quayside. Portions are generous and family friendly in price. Dogs are also well catered for with dog ice cream and treats.
The service is excellent at ICED; you always get a friendly and welcoming greeting there. There is usually a queue at the food truck, but don’t be put off by this as this is because people are waiting for their food or drink to be made fresh. It doesn’t take long for your order to be ready.
ICED on the Quay is open at weekends and weekdays, but their opening times are weather dependent. They can close at short notice if it gets too windy. We would advise checking their social media as this is where they tend to update customers. Parking is free but limited. It’s well worth trying to get a good space as you can enjoy your sweet treat in the car in front of the glistening water of the quay.
