A trip to Trevaskis Farm in Hayle is a great day out for the family, but it’s also the most unique setting for your weekly shopping. Whether you’re on holiday or a local, you can find everything you need for your food shopping in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
There is an abundance of fresh local produce at the farm shop, much of which is from the farm itself, including fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, baked goods and dairy. There is also an excellent range of dried goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, frozen food and toiletries. Everything is competitively priced, and the best part is that there is far less packaging to dispose of at home. You can make use of their paper bags for picking your fruit and vegetables or use your own reusable bags. You can also refill your milk bottles with Roddas.
The farm shop has the look and feel of a market so you can enjoy visiting all the different departments. Stock is seasonal particularly the fruit and vegetables, which means that there’s always something new to try.
The farm shop and restaurant are generously open 8am-8pm every day, and we love visiting in the evenings as it is quieter than the midday rush. At the restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner which are made with the same local produce that the farm shop sells.
Dependent on the season, the farm offers a ‘pick your own’ experience which might range from picking pumpkins in the autumn to harvesting strawberries in the summer. On your way around the farm, you might spot some farm animals. It’s a lovely way to get closer to nature and make memories with your family. Dogs are also welcome around the farm. Entrance to the farm is free and you only pay for what you pick.
Parking is also free and there is disabled parking available. There is wheelchair access to the restaurant and farm shop, but we would advise that you call the farm in advance of your visit to discuss your accessible needs.
